Well, Andrea and I will have been married for 5 years tomorrow… and I’ll be in North Carolina for most of the day… Houston for the rest of it.

Don’t get too sad, though. We’re going to be in Colorado for a week without the kids. Woo-freakin’-hoo. 30-50 degrees every day for a week. In June! With my sweetie! Woo woo!

It’s nice that Uncle Robert has been around to help this week. Andrea said that he’s been a great aide to her with the kids so she could cook, etc. He’s a great guy.

And apparently, she’s been having plenty of fun without me. Crystal brought her kids over for a play date. She ate some Brie. A fun time has been had by all, I’m sure.

The worst part of this week, for me, has been when Timothy talks to me on the phone and says “Daddy, where are you at?” And I say “Charlotte” and he says “Daddy, you come home soon, okay?”

Makes me want to quit my job and hop a plane right at that very moment. Just kills me.

Well, I’ll see them all soon enough.. and it will be great.

In case any of you were betting on appliances that wold die in our house… our oven has decided to go on the fritz.

So, at the moment, we have a dryer that takes 90 minutes to dry anything, a dishwasher that doesn’t get the dishes clean and an oven that won’t come on (the stove, not the range).

I was trying to think if there were any other major appliances that we haven’t replaced/had repaired in the last 1.5 years. Hmm… just our washer and our refrigerator — but our washer is 5 years old and our fridge is 3. Every other major/semi-major appliance has needed fixing or replacing in the last 3 years… wow. Still, what do you do? Repairing them for 3-5 more years of work is definitely worth it–assuming the repair is less than the cost of a new unit.

And shouldn’t it be less? Generating less waste is a GOOD THING!!! Ah… well, here’s to industry.
