It’s a nice cool night. The whole family has piled into the sedan and we’re cruising down the road at 27 miles to the gallon, going to get a movie. I’m feeling a little feisty, so I roll down the windows a bit and let the nice cool air rush in. Both of our kids start laughing as it rushes around them. Then we get on the freeway.
I glance back and see Bethany with her hair wisping around like a tornado is sitting on her and 6 little teeth shown as much as they can be shown. She’s letting out a big belly laugh, as is Timothy, sitting next to her. Oh, it’s adorable.
Eventually we get our movie and head back to our house. We’re about to head in when I realize that all the rain has made the ground very soft and makes the plethora of weeds easy to pull. I pull one or two and then Andrea decides to get in on the action. Timothy and Bethany run around. Periodically, Timothy goes and tries to “help mommy” by pulling up weeds. He actually does a pretty good job!
Eventually we go inside with the movie. Timothy thinks he’s going to get to watch it–which he isn’t. So when we go upstairs to read a book, he’s nearly crushed. When he lays down, he says to me… “I’m going to dream about the movie.”
“Good idea, buddy,” I reply.
“And weeds. Lots and lots of weeds.”
I kindof stifle my laughter and tell him that’s great. He’s not even three and we’ve got him dreaming about yard work. I know there’s a better “weed” joke in there, but this is a family blog, people!

Three guys from Illinois perform their song “All We Got” on one guitar. Very cool song, and very cool way to do it!

Just 13 more years before Aunt Meg can coach her on the court.

Everyone becomes a hippie, for at least a few moments, after watching this.

Mute Math, whose instrumental, “Reset” was a favorite of anyone who saw them live, or anyone who saw this video, have put together another great visual display for their latest video, “Typical.”
They performed the whole thing “backwards” — even learning to convincingly mouth the lyrics in reverse.
After you watch the main link, be sure to check out the forward version of the video (and backwards version of the song).
