Ahhh… the time of year when Family and Friends get together and have a good old time. I love Thanksgiving through Christmas. I love the decorations, lighting the Advent Candles, time with family, the cold(ish) weather, hot chocolate, midnight candle light services, and Christmas carols. It’s all just wonderful.

We had my family over for Thanksgiving. It was great. Got to cook some smoked turkey in the grill and fry a turkey too. Very good stuff. Got sick, though, and ended up sleeping most of thanksgiving. On Friday, we stayed in, but had a great time decorating the house. We got out the tree and put it up. I’ll have to post a picture once our new camera comes in. Oh, that’s right, ordered a new digital camera on Saturday. Very nice. 5MP Nikon Coolpix 5400. Happy Christmas to the Simoneaus.

Anyway, back to the grind. God bless this wonderful time. Let’s remember what it’s really about.

U2 gave the best SNL performance ever. It’s one of those that will change things. Just like when SNL used to do 2 bands every show, and then they let one have two songs, so other bands started asking for 2… and now, the big bands will want to “rock out SNL” at the end, and people, 5, 10 years from now will have no idea that U2 playing “I Will Follow” as the credits started to roll was one of the coolest things a music act had ever done on SNL. Of course, the rest of the show has gone to crap. You’d think that a show boasting U2 and Luke Wilson would have been awesome, but instead, with the exception of the music, Justin Timberlake’s hosting was more enjoyable as a show.

Eh, SNL sucks, but bust out the music. Can’t wait to see U2 when the head over here on tour. Mmmmm good.
